Quality Mesh
Our screens (also known as insect screen, bug screen, fly screen, flywire, or window net) are made of fiberglass and is available in charcoal and bronze color.
Window Screen Frames
Our screen frames are made of quality aluminum that is strong, does not rust, and is lightweight. The frames are available in white, bronze, and mill (bare aluminum) colors.
Broken Window Screen Frame
What can be done to fix a broken or bent window screen? The only way to fix this kind of damage is have us replace the entire window screen frame. Window Screen Frame Replacement
We can make a replacement screen frame for your window if yours has become damaged or bent. The screen mesh breaks down over time so it needs to be replaced as well. Frames come in white, bronze, and bare aluminum finishes. Our frames that we make are built using squared off corners with a plastic corner piece used to connect them. We insert springs and pull tabs into the frame and then a screen mesh is placed over the frame. We then place a plastic cord called a spline over the mesh and using a special spline tool we press the spline into the grove of the aluminum frame. We have many years of experience and skill to build high quality screens with a mesh that is just the right tightness without any sagging of the sides. We check for any imperfections in the mesh and any other manufacturing defects before handing it over to you.
Window Screen Frame Tabs Replacement
If your window screens came with plastic pull tabs and they have cracked and broken off, the best thing to do is to bring your window screens into LR Glass and Window and we can replace the pull tabs and screen mesh for you. Because the screen mesh is cut flush with the spline, it is very difficult to just replace the frame tabs and reuse the screen mesh. Screen mesh becomes brittle over time and can tear if we would try to remove the spline replace the tabs and reattach the screen mesh. It is less expensive to just replace the screen mesh with new during this process rather than trying to reuse the precisely cut existing mesh.
