Indoor Shutters
Norman indoor shutters are built from real wood or composite material and provide a sturdy, substantial structure that fits nicely inside the interior sill of your windows. The louvered slats are adjustable to allow light to come through in a controlled way and just the amount that you want. The shutters also have a hinge on each panel that swings out into the room so you can easily clean your windows, give yourself a full view of the outside, or simply allow full light to some in.
InvisibleTilt®, is an embedded gear and pinion system, which allows accurate louver tilting without a tilt rod for a much nicer appearance. It removes the need for a tilt bar with screws into each louver. Traditional “hidden tilt” systems hide a bar in the back of the panel, attached by screws that loosen over time. This results is the panels will close unevenly which allows light to come in, plus wear from loose screws scraping against your frame.
The Woodlore® Shutters use a wood composite with a medical grade polypropylene coating for extra safety and durability which are designed to last a lifetime. The wood used in these shutters is very eco-friendly because up to 95% of every tree is used reducing waste. The trees use are also fast growing so the supply is sustainable. The slats are made of a solid wood composite core making them very durable. They won't sag from high temperatures, and they resist cupping or warping so they will work perfectly for a long time to come.
Woodlore® Plus is a wood composite hybrid shutter that uses lightweight yet durable ABS plastic for its louvers which is a material used for high-end endurance applications. It is safe from VOCs (volatile organic compound) and CARB (California Air Resources Board) compliant for off-gassing. It has UV inhibitors to protect it against the color fading or it turning yellowish. It also has a polypropylene coating which allows it the louvers to resist staining so it will perform well for many years in a variety of conditions.
